1. 1 The blower fan pulls in outside or re-circulating air. Various pollutants(pollen, yellow-dust, tar, and other foreign matters) are suspended in the air.
2. 2 The air is blown to the evaporator chamber. Very fine suspended particles get trapped and stick to the wet evaporator fins and accumulate buildup over time. When contaminants are wet, bacrerial colonies thrive and the smell is amplified.
3. 3 Driver and passengers in turn breathe the contaminated air as it passes through the ordor filled evaporator!
